Trends in Import-Export Over the Year

Import and export follow a fairly cyclical up-then-down pattern. Imports have ever-so-slightly fallen over the last three years, and exports have a slightly positive trend. There is a sizeable dip in both in early 2020, as the world adjusted to the new normal necessitated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
